Export Incentives & Training Program
Michigan businesses exported $44.8 Billion in goods and services in 2010. Exporting provides businesses additional revenue streams, access to new markets and customers to buy products, while creating jobs right here in Michigan.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) received a grant from the US Small Business Administration (SBA) to assist Michigan businesses increase exports. The SBA STEP grant, combined with MEDC funds, provides approximately $3 million to increase Michigan’s capacity for exports. Attendees will hear how STEP can assist your business start or increase your company’s exports. Eligible Michigan businesses can get up to 50% reimbursement for expenses related to export activities in new markets, including:
