The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is conducting an internal/external recruitment process to fill the following corporate vacancy:

Pay Grade and rate:

 Grade 5; $76,084 (minimum) to $86,822 (midpoint)

Brief Job Description:

Incumbent of this position will encourage, promote and facilitate the export of Michigan products and/or services in a defined geographic region.  The primary focus will be on small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).  Responsibilities include working with Regional Export Network (REN) to identify regional export resources, integrating them into the regional export assistance continuum and aligning with statewide export assistance continuum.  Also responsible for collaborating with regional partners to market, develop, and execute the regional export program and processing company requests for MEDC-funded export and trade finance incentives.

MEDC is seeking to fill four positions – one permanent and three one-year limited term positions.  These positions will be located at each of the following locations:  Lansing, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and Troy.  Please note in your cover letter the location(s) that you would like to be considered for.

Minimum Education Required:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in National/International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

Minimum Experience Required:

This position requires a minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training in  commercial financial analysis, marketing, international marketing, workforce development, or public or private economic or community development, public speaking and/or project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
